- What if I become unemployed?
If you find yourself out of work, through no fault of your own, the Balance Protection Insurance involuntary unemployment insurance benefit can pay your minimum monthly outstanding TD Visa payments. Your minimum monthly payments will continue until either you return to work, or the outstanding balance at the time of your job loss has been paid, up to a maximum of $10,000 or 24 monthly payments.
- What if I become disabled?
If you become disabled because of accident or illness and you are unable to work, the Balance Protection Insurance disability benefit can pay your minimum monthly outstanding TD Visa payments. Your minimum monthly payments will be made: for up to 24 months, up to a maximum of $10,000, while you are disabled; or until your outstanding balance at the time of loss is paid off; or until you return to work, whichever comes first.
- What if I am diagnosed with a critical illness, die or experience dismemberment?
If you were to be diagnosed with a critical illness, the outstanding balance on your TD Visa Card can be paid in full, up to $10,000. If you were to die, the outstanding balance on your TD Visa Card can be paid in full, up to a maximum of $10,000. Balance Protection Insurance will provide your loved ones with the security of knowing that they can have one less financial obligation. If you were to experience dismemberment, the balance on your TD Visa Card at the time of the loss can also be paid, up to a maximum of $10,000. Coverage converts to Accidental Death Benefit at age 66.
